We are Color Blinded. Are you?
Our vision is love and unity.
Home, here, is where you are appreciated, accepted, embraced, and loved. Why? Because God has given us a commandment to Love! Love Him first and to love you as we love ourselves which is our primary purpose and Foundation for which International Cultures is founded - Love!
Founded on the Foundation of Love,
International Cultures like its sister company
Exploration Africa, which bridges the gap of cultural diversity, is a cultural edutainment company bqsed on the foundation of love, whose mission is,
crossing the divide of cultural diversity.
We see that with the infusion of cultures and the rapidly changing population demographics around the world, but more specifically here in the United States, for various reasons, there is the need for understanding and acceptance, the need for cohesiveness and unity within the arenas of our lives, so that we have better communities, societies, nations and the world!
We feel that because of the differences in our cultural backgrounds, issues such as stereotyping, biases, prejudices, and fear, result from barriers
such as languages, traditions, customs, norms, patterns,
and the unknown.
Yet, as we look around us we see that in each of our arenas, whether it is
spiritual, professional, political, educational or social,
it is infused with cultures.
The fact of the matter is, it is inevitable. Change is inevitable, and our population demographics is no exception. It is rapidly changing!
Our arenas from now through generations to come will continue to be infused with cultures.
According to the Smithsonian
(the world's largest museum, education and research complex),
the next thirty plus years the U.S. will look differently
from what it does today.
Minorities will exceed 50% of the population.
25% of children under age 5 today are Hispanics.
Come 2050 this percentage would have increased to 40%.
Does this change affect our lives?
Are we in acceptance of this change?
How are we interacting? Coping?
How can we transcend these barriers that tend to divide us
in these various arenas that are essential to our communal,
societal and national well-being? Let alone our world?
For we see that when we are divided, we fall.
Division brings about chaos and conflicts
or rather chaos and conflict result from division.
Yet, can there be unity within the midst of diversity?
Why do you think that God created us differently?
Or why do you think we are all different?
Why weren’t we all created or born Chinese?
Or why weren’t we all created or born black? Why do you think?
+++++++++++++++++++++
We believe that we are all created and born differently because of the command that God has given us which came with a challenge and that commandment is
that we love Him (God, who is Love) first
and to love our neighbor, (one another) as we love ourselves.
The Commandment is to Love, the challenge is to love Another (someone different from us)
For it is easy for us to love one as is ourselves
but it is a challenge to love another, one different from us.
Better yet, how can we love God who is love, who is one, who created all cultures and embodies everyone who is of Him, and has commanded us to love Him and love one another (different from us), as we love ourselves?
How can we?
How can we love, if we are unable to love the different?
This is where appreciation comes into play,
we must appreciate the difference, have an open mind to accepting
and understanding the differences, of our brothers and sisters of different cultures
and when we are able to do this, then we are able to embrace and love.
+++++++++++++++++++++
However in doing so, education plays a vital role in the process.
It opens our minds, and hearts, awakens and enlightens us!
But we have to do our part and that is to be receptive.
When we are receptive to this education, (cultural "Edutainment, which what we are about, we are able to stretch our arms wide open to embrace our brothers and sisters
of other cultures and not allow fear of the unknown to put us in a place
of stereotyping, and biases and prejudices.
When we embrace, we open the doors for relationships which bring
new horizons, resolutions, opportunities, alternatives, options,
better communications, increased productivity, increase profit margins, etc., and this embrace which is the loving of another brother and sister different from you, from us,
which leads the way to better communities, societies, nations and the world –
spiritually, politically, professionally, academically and socially.
This, in a nutshell is International Cultures,
“The Bridge Across the Cultural Divide!”
